You can check out the BCA Float 18 Here on the Catskiing Canada Christmas gear guide.  A question arises.. We just picked up a pair of the new 2012 Moment Jaguar Sharks in 192cm. As soon as we saw the name of this ski and the beautiful top sheet they were on order. 

They are not mounted up quite yet so we will have to get back to you with a review a little later in the season but we can say that we have been very impressed with the 2 pairs we have in our current fleet (Donner Party and Ruby).

All Moment Skis are Handmade in the good ol' USA, Reno Nevada to be exact. Moment uses 95% domestically sourced materials and FSC-certified wood cores.

Recon Instruments' amazing little GPS-enabled MOD display for ski goggles is some of the coolest personal tracking technology out there. The newest—the Android-based MOD Live—slickly integrates the phone in your pocket with the data in your face.

First released last year, Recon's micro-optics displays show skiers and snowboarders slews of real time data about their runs on a tiny little dashboard display in their googles. For all of the competitive ski-bums out there, the coolest metrics are the jump analytics, which capture information about how high, how long, and how far you jump. The MOD also captures metrics measured by other GPS-training tools like speed, altitude, time elapsed, and temperature. All of this information can be loaded on to your computer via Micro USB, and the data can be uploaded to the HQ online community and shared via social networks.

La Niña (the 'little girl' in spanish) is an oceanic phenomenon that delivered western North America the coldest and snowiest winter anyone can remember. It also makes this episode of Salomon Freeski TV the deepest one yet. According to all climate predictions, she's back for the 2011/12 season.
